Description: Tawny Owls are early nesters and the young often bale out of the nest well before they can fly properly. This youngster was photographed on the edge of a Birch Forest adjacent to the Black Wood of Rannoch, (Scotland). It appeared to be the youngest of four siblings, all of which were nearby.
