Description: Even een typische term introduceren uit Canda: Food Court. Na Geniale Concepten als de Subway (voor al je gezonde ontbijten en lunches), Tim Hortons (voor de iets minder gezonde ontbijten en lunches, die echter wel enige hartigheid bevatten waardoor de konijnfactor iets minder wordt) en de Starbucks (uw dagelijkse slappe bakkie koffie) die je op elke straathoek kan vinden, bevat hier elk winkelcentrum een Food Court. Voor de Europeaan een nieuw verschijnsel, poging tot uitleg: je hebt een heel groot ondergronds plein met tafels en stoeltjes, daarom heen zitten meer dan twintig kleine afhaalbalies, waar je van elke cultuur ter wereld voor een schamel bedrag (iets meer dan 10 CAD, ongeveer 7 euro) een goede maaltijd en kleine (= groot genoeg) Cola kan halen. Fijn concept! Vooral omdat de restaurantjes vrij duur zijn, en fast food al vanaf de tweede dag geen optie meer is. Het scheelt ook kiezen: iedereen kan halen wat hij wil, en het eten is snel en van goede kwaliteit. Hulde!
