Description: This old locomotive, formerly operated by the Alaska Railroad, has sat on the Delaney Park Strip at the southeast corner of Ninth Avenue and E Street for several decades. I'm not sure how long exactly, but I was playing on this thing when I was a kid. I believe it's called No. 556, but again, it's been a while since I paid close attention. At the time of this photo, the locomotive was fenced off from public access while some sort of work was taking place.
