Description: Gate of Tonacombe Tonacombe is "one of the best and most interesting Tudor mansions in the West of England" according to British Towns website http://www.british-towns.net/en/level_4_display.asp?GetL3=5456 , 1580 according to http://www.r-alston.co.uk/ch_eng.htm and mentioned in Pevsner - but walking through on the footpath what I saw was this imposing gateway and farm buildings.
