Description: Isis Temple, a geological formation as viewed from the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. (view WNW, (flat-top)-Shiva Temple, left, Tiyo Point, (of southwest), Kaibab Plateau, right)--Close-up photo of en:Isis Temple peak, and the sub-prominence to its southeast, Cheops Pyramid. Isis and Cheops sit on an uplifted faulted block, with en:Unkar Group basement geology units-(of 6 members, Units 1 through 4). The Isis peak of en:Coconino Sandstone is upon Hermit Shale, (Supai Group)-Esplanade Sandstone, and cliffs of Redwall Limestone; upon Muav Limestone, Bright Angel Shale, (no en:Tapeats Sandstone, because it was a "mountain-island" in the Tapeats Sea).
