Description: A German destroyer escorting the heavy cruiser Admiral Hipper. The Hipper and the four destroyers Z 5 Paul Jacobi, Z 6 Theodor Riedel, Z 8 Bruno Heinemann and Z 16 Friedrich Eckholdt transported 1.200 troops of the Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 138 (138th Mountaineer Regiment) to Trondheim, Norway, in April 1940. Note: In the original description the destroyer is identified as Z 2 Georg Thiele which was not part of the Hipper screen, but scuttled at Narvik. At the given date (July 1940), Hipper was operating in the Atlantic Ocean.
