Description: Gold, Quartz Locality: Eagle's Nest Mine (Mystery Wind Mine), Placer County, California, USA (Locality at mindat.org) A SUPERB arborescent gold specimen with killer aesthetics, beautiful from either side. The crystals are VERY FINE and bright, of top color, and feature flattened ocohedra to almost 1 cm. The specimen is a very choice example for the size and price range, and would be a dramatic presence in any collection. As gold is notoriously difficult to photograph, it is BETTER IN PERSON. 7.1 x 4.1 x 1 cm
