Description: Digitally restored image created from two severely water and mildew damaged 5x7 inch glass photographic plates of the Golden Gate in San Francisco, California. The photograph was taken about 1895 by San Francisco businessman Frank R. Tindell from "Land's End" in Lincoln Park on the Northwest tip of the San Francisco Peninsula. Grounds of The Presidio are visible on the right with Fort Point at the south side of the Golden Gate and Angel Island behind it in San Francisco Bay. Original image Restoration
