Description: "Constructive waterfall" at Gordale Scar, a dramatic limstone ravine close to Malham, North Yorkshire, England. There is kind of a cushion underneath the falling water. Continuously chemically precipitated calcium carbonate from the calcium carbonate saturated karst water encrusts moss. The deposits gradually grow. See also Tufa.
