Image: Greyfriars funeral procession, John Nichols
Description: Engraving from Rev Francis Peck (1692-1743) MSS on the Natural History and Antiquities of Leicestershire, his unpublished collection of material that was then made available to Nichols for his massive work. Nichols implies that the picture and an accompanying description of the funeral procession, related specifically to the Greyfriars at Leicester, raising the possibility that the church in the background was the building that Richard III was buried in.
