The monument is located along the Arnaud River in the Ungava Peninsula, Quebec, Canada. The silhouette of the monument is based upon a photograph shown in Mysterious Canada (1988), by J.R. Colombo; as well as a photograph in The Farfarers: Before the Norse (2000), by F. Mowat. The silhouette of the man is adapted from File:Pygmy.png, by User:Vlad2i. I created this image using Inkscape. I used Inkscape to create this image—this program is a free, cross-platform, graphics editor.
