Description: The Humboldt Mountains, part of the Southern Alps of the South Island of New Zealand. Photo taken on the popular hiking trail known as the Routeburn Track. This viewpoint was opened up after a massive slip exposed the rock face, and therefore a clear view of this gorgeous divide. We had had lunch down there on the river flat, just a few hours earlier.
