Description: The Embarcadero Freeway (I-480) as seen from the Hyatt Regency, San Francisco, in 1988. Also shown in this picture are the Vaillancourt Fountains. Behind the trees is the on-ramp from Clay Street (top deck) and the off-ramp to Washington Street (lower deck). After the 1989 earthquake damaged this freeway, it was torn down in 1991.
