Description: A ten member team led by Cdr Satyabrata Dam (03313-R) was flagged off by Hon’ble RURM on 10 Mar 08. The delegation reached the destination (North Pole) on 9 April 2008 at 2016 hrs (IST). The expedition a established the following records: First organisation in the world to reach all the three poles (Mt Everest, South Pole & North Pole). First Indian team to ski to geographic North Pole. First Indian team to ski to both poles. First Indians (Cdr S Dam, Rakesh Kumar POM (retd) & Vikas Kumar POM) to do all the three poles.
