Description: Of the various objects belonging to late Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India. The tan brown Saree has a distinct border, and is most likely a Sambalpuri saree woven in the Sambalpur region of Odisha. The plaque below says "The Saree which she wore on the day of her assassination." Beside it are her handbag and a pair of leather sandals. These objects have been preserved in her memory in the Teen Murti Bhawan at New Delhi.
