Description: The home of James White at White's Fort in Knoxville, Tennessee, in the southeastern United States. The fort was originally built in 1786 and became the nucleus of Knoxville, which was founded in 1791. The house has been dismantled and moved twice. The palisade and outbuildings were reconstructed in 1960s. The fort is currently located on Hill Avenue, and is open to the public.
