Description: Looking northward from Mason Landing Road in eastern Henderson County, Kentucky, United States. In the distance, near the trees lining the Green River, is what remains of the James Giles Shell Midden. An archaeological site and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, in 1994, it was declared part of the Green River Shell Middens Archeological District, a National Historic Landmark.
