Description: View of the former Bel-Air tennis court (jeu de paume)) in the Rue de Vaugirard (approximately at today's no. 15, at the intersection with the Rue de Médicis). Also called the Jeu de Paume de Bécquet, it was the home of the Paris Opera from November 1672 until June 1673. The view is from the city ramparts overlooking the moat (fossé) and the Rue des Fossés Monsieur-le-Prince, now the Rue Monsieur-le-Prince [1].
