Description: Tüchersfeld is a small settlement in "Franconian Switzerland", Franconian Jura. The castle-like assembly of houses rests on elevated rocks, that form cretaceous towerkarst. This in Europe rare geological phenomenon of tropically weathered dolostone, is only found in the northern part of the Franconian Jura. The house assembly is called "Judenhof" (The Juwesh houses). The discrimination of the jews throughout the second millenium in Franconia saw interim times, where jews were allowed to live relatively unharmed in so called Judenhofs. After renovations the "Judenhof" became "Museum Fränkische Schweiz" in 1985.
