Description: K'iaqbal, Cantel, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Maya ritual site with a couple of pre-Columbian scultpures. Stela fragment with part of a sculpture, probably representing an earspool and portion of headdress. This stone is used as a modern altar and is referred to in K'iche' as Belejeb Batz' ("nine monkey"), and in Spanish as "El Mono" ("the monkey").
