Description: Original caption states, "Roadside communities assist in the rehabilitation of a key road in South Kivu province." Further information on that page includes, "A key road rehabilitation project, carried out between the towns of Lemera and Mulenge in South Kivu province, was officially handed over to the local communities in a ceremony with regional and local authorities and community members. The region is home to the Bufuliru and Banyamulenge tribes, who have experienced hostilities with one another during the war. Roadside communities representing both tribes worked together in an effort to revitalize the region through access to markets and improved connectivity and information flow in the area. They will continue to work collaboratively in the management and maintenance of the road."
