Description: Attic white-ground Lekythos by the Group of the Huge Lekythoi (attributed by John D. Beazley). Prothesis: deceased young man lies to the right on a bier, hehind the bier and at the foot two mourning women, on the head a mourning old man. About 400 BC; preserved hight 42,6cm, original height 68cm; fount at Alopeke (Ambelokepoi) near Athens. Purchased for the Antikensammlung Berlin in 1872; Inv.nr: F 2684; CVA Germany 89/Berlin 12, Plate 44; ARV 2 1390,3; Addenda 2 373; BA 217 904.
