Description: Limestone cliffs often arise from uplifted seabed. They may look volcanic they are not. Much limestone in this area exhibits a solution surface which I am told is typical of arid areas. A short distance away, shale deposits contain trilobite fossils, those from aquatic creatures that lived in ancient Lake Tecopa.
