Description: Thanks to Luna & Alasdair knox for letting me barrow their camera as i didn't have my housing on the boat at this time (as usual) Taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 SPECIES:Melaena (long-finned) Macrorhynchus (short-finned) Adult Male approximate length:6meters and can weigh up to 3Tons Female approximate length:5meters and can weigh up to 1.5Tons These pictures were taken in between the channel of vadhoo about a mile close to the Maldivian Airport. Pilot Whales have been observed yearly around the months of March and April in South and North of Male' Atoll 2nd of April 2009 fin count of aprox 22 pilot whales
