Description: The Scottish Political Martyrs were five (Thomas Muir, Rev Thomas Fyshe Palmer, William Skirving, Maurice Margarot, Joseph Gerrald) 18th Century political reformers, who in 1793 were sentenced to transportation to Australia for sedition and writing and publishing pamphlets on parliamentary reform.
