Description: Muscovite, Albite (Var.: Cleavelandite) Locality: Divino das Laranjeiras, Doce valley, Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil (Locality at mindat.org) Size: 6 x 5.3 x 3.9 cm. Muscovite is almost always seen as an "accessory" mineral - except on rare occasions, as with this gorgeous specimen. The bladed crystals are bright pearly silver, in a complex intergrowth, with euhedral cleavelandites playing the role of accents on this specimen. Ex. Feist Collection.
