Description: The NIST-4 Kibble balance, which began full operation in early 2015 at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, Maryland, United States, measured Planck's constant to within 13 parts per billion in 2017, which was accurate enough to assist with the redefinition of the kilogram planned for 2019.
