Description: Royal Standard for use on ships carrying the King, under Otto I (1833-1862), adopted by the Royal Decree of 4/16 April 1833. The arms of the Bavarian Wittelsbach dynasty are superimposed on the plain cross civil flag, of 10:7 proportions. The shade of blue is lighter than the modern flag, reflecting contemporary usage.
