Description: The southern end of the Meerburger Watering (Meerburger canal) with its little harbour/marina "De Merenburger" at Stompwijk (municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg, Netherlands). This broad ditch forms the boundary between a number of polders in Stompwijk and already exists for at least 400 years. The Meerburger Watering runs directly parallel to Motorway A4 (seen left) for the major part of its length. It terminates into the Old Rhine at Zoeterwoude-Rijndijk.
