Description: Originally the New Hotel Oxford in 1913, the building became the William Penn Hotel in 1930. In 1965 the largest shootout in San Diego history until that time occurred in a pawn shop on the ground floor of the hotel. Also visible are part of the George Hill Building to the left and the Spencer-Ogden Building to the right.
