Description: New Rocket Lab Facility of South 40 Rocket Facility in 1957 — at the Rocket Engine Test Facility (RETF). Formerly a rocket tests site, part of the Lewis Flight Propulsion Laboratory, renamed the Lewis Research Center in 1958, and the present day Glenn Research Center. It was demolished in 2003, removed as a National Historic Landmark and delisted from the National Register of Historic Places, for the runway expansion of the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
