Description: North Market Street Bridge over Brandywine Creek in Wilmington, Delaware looking downstream (East). The buildings on the left are condos built on the foundations of mills from the 1800's. The left bank is part of the Brandywine Village Historic District on the NRHP. The building on the right is the Wilmington Brandywine Pumping Station, which pumps water from the Brandywine to homes in Wilmington. The bridge marks the approximate level of tidewater on the Brandywine. Just upstream are "rapids" - the fall of the water used to power water mills in Brandywine Village, and ocean-going ships loaded at the pool just east of the bridge. The bridge's address would be about 1800 Market Street, Wilmington, Delaware.
