Description: The Andrew Norwood House – also known as the Norwood Club – at 241 West 14th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues in Manhattan, New York City was built in 1845-47 as one of three row houses in transitional Greek Revival/Italianate style, at a time when 14th Street was becoming a fashionable address. This building is the only survivor of the three and was built as the home of Andrew Norwood, the developer responsible for the three houses. The house has been a NYC Landmark since 1978 and on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979. (Source: Guide to NYC Landmarks (4th ed.))
