Description: I am a plant with erect or oblique rhizome. I prefer soin rich in organic matter, usually growing in waters, ponds or wetlands. I usually reproduce through suckering and seeding propagation. I prefer sunny and droughty conditions, for which I flower in days and close at nights. My flowers are ornamental while my rhizome is edible.
