Description: STONE HILL WINERY - OPENED IN 1847; BY THE TURN OF THE CENTURY IT HAD BECOME THE THIRD LARGEST WINERY IN THE WORLD (SECOND IN THE U.S.). PROHIBITION DESTROYED IT AND THE WINE CELLARS WERE SAVED ONLY BY CHANGING OVER TO MUSHROOM GROWING. IN 1965 THEY BEGAN TO MAKE WINE AGAIN
