Description: Commercial Tesla coil in operation, showing a large brush discharge from a metal wire attached to the toroidal high voltage terminal. This is the oneTeslaTS musical Tesla coil kit, shown on the OneTesla web page. It is a Dual Resonant Solid State Tesla Coil (DRSSTC), in which the pulses of current are applied to the tuned primary circuit by IGBT transistor switches instead of a spark gap as in many Tesla coils. It can function as a "musical Tesla coil", by attaching a keyboard the current can be modulated to make the spark discharges produce musical tones.
