Description: C15th Perpendicular Painswick Church, 07/12. Perpendicular architecture is uniquely English and a much simpler form than the Flamboyant architecture which followed the Decorated period in Europe. Thus, whilst Decorated period churches in England and the Continent are somewhat similar (or, at least, not dissimilar) in style, English Perpendicular churches and European Flamboyant ones are poles apart.
