Description: A penny minted at en:York in the reign of en:Amlaíb Cuarán (Anlaf Sihtricson). Obverse shows a trefoil ornament (triquetra), and the reverse a triangular pennon (raven banner). Obverse legend read as "ANLAF CVNVNC". Weight 17.3 grains, 0.8 fine. original caption (Grueber p. 20): Anlaf (Quaran), A.D. 940-944 and 948-952?
