Description: Closeup of the head of a large perentie (varanus giganteus), which was photographed in the wild near 17-Mile Quobba Station, on the coast about 100m from Canarvon, West Australia. Camera used was a Pentax KM with 70-210 Pentax lens and 400 ASA film. This is a scan from a 6x4 colour print. It is released into the public domain by the author, User:Richahel. Photo taken late 1990s. Print scanned December 2008.
