Description: Mound 12 at Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park in Madison County, Tennessee, located in the Southeastern United States. In the 1970s, archaeologist John Broster excavated this mound and uncovered a clay pit used for human cremation. He also discovered evidence of Early Woodland period occupation.
