Description: Infamous horse grazing on the pitch at Plough Lane. Gypsies from nearby site off Brickfield Road used the pitch for their horses. The old South stand on Plough Lane was a bit scary as it was made out of wood and smoking was allowed. The commentary position for TV was on top of the roof. I remember John Motson on TV wrapped up like an Eskimo for one game. I've been hunting for these photos for years and just found them amongst some holiday snaps. After Wimbledon stopped playing first team games here and moved to Selhurst Park the ground for reserve games until 1998.
