Description: Raab County Park in York County, Pennsylvania. It is essential the same as the York Iron Company Mine (Historic District) on the National Register of Historic Places. The park includes a 3-4 mile trail which goes by several old mining pits (off-trail and somewhat dangerous). York Iron Company Mine listed on the NRHP on March 15, 1985 (#85000580) North of Green Valley Road, south of Spring Grove 39°50′29″N 76°48′35″W North Codorus Township Sorry - it was raining and threatening thunderstorms and I only went about 1 mile down the trail. Best to try photographing this site in the winter when you might be able to see the pits.
