Description: The Red River — of Taos County, northern New Mexico. A tributary of the Rio Grande, its headwaters are on Mount Wheeler in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. A section is within Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, and designated a U.S. Wild and Scenic River. I took photo in July 2008.
