Description: A Sequoiadendron giganteum Redwood tree on the grounds of the Redwood Motel on the corner of Main North Road and Prestons Road in Redwood, Christchurch. The tree was planted in the late 1800s by Thomas Preston, after whom Prestons Road is named. This tree is listed as a protected tree by the Christchurch City Council.
