Description: Photo of sycamore tree known as the "Revolutionary Sycamore," located in Danbury, Connecticut. The photo was taken July 14, 2012. The tree's nickname is based on the fact that it is believed that the was standing during the Revolutionary War, and British troops passed it on their way back from burning Danbury. This tree was cut down in 2014.
