Description: The Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse in Charlotte, the northernmost neighborhood of Rochester, New York. Built in 1822, the light tower is 40 feet tall. It was deactivated in 1881. It was saved from destruction in 1965 and is now a museum operated by a nonprofit agency for Monroe County. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
