Description: The Rockingham Free Public Library at 65 Westminster Street in Bellows Falls, Vermont was built in 1909, and was designed in the Classical Revival style by Francis and Son. The library was founded in 1887, and grew out of the Rockingham Library Society, which began in 1799. The first Reading Room opened in 1888, in the Rockingham Opera House. The current building was built with funds from Andrew Carnegie, and was renovated in 2013. The library is part of the Bellows Falls Neighborhood Historic District. (Sources: [1], [2])
