Description: The remaining Spanish ruins of Santa Maria de Ovila, a monastery that was largely disassembled by an agent of William Randolph Hearst in 1931 and shipped to San Francisco, California. Hearst's agent selected the parts Hearst would want, removed them, and left behind these bare walls with no decorative elements, or roof, or floors.
