Description: Flag of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean (a.k.a. Sagamie), created on 11 june 1938 for the centenary celebrations of Saguenay (see http://www.shistoriquesaguenay.com/Drapeau.asp). The proportions are 2:3 (as in the provincial flag) or 1:2 (as in the Canadian flag). It is an horizontal bicolor, green over yellow, surmounted by a red-bordered grey cross extending throughout. The proportions along the hoist are approximately 7:1:3:1:7. Green represents the rich forests of the region, yellow its agriculture, grey industry and commerce, and red the vitality of the population.
