Description: Schorl, Feldspar Locality: Nagar (Nagir), Hunza Valley, Gilgit District, Northern Areas, Pakistan (Locality at mindat.org) OK, schorl is not all that glamorous a mineral usually, but it is a different story when it forms perfect, glossy crystals such as this 2-cm one, on a fine accenting matrix - in this case, a cluster of euhedral feldspar crystals. 6.6 x 5.9 x 3.7cm
